Chat Inbox — Manage Conversations with Your Visitors

Introduction

Every time a visitor interacts with your Answe widget — submitting a form, placing an order, making a booking, or sending a message — it appears in your Chat Inbox. This is your central hub for managing all visitor interactions across all your widgets.

How It Works

Viewing Conversations

  1. Go to Chats from your dashboard
  2. See all conversations listed with the most recent at the top
  3. Each conversation shows:
    • Visitor name or identifier
    • Last message preview
    • Timestamp
    • Which question/widget they interacted with

Responding to Messages

Click any conversation to open it. You can:

  • Read the full conversation thread
  • See form submissions and their data
  • View order details
  • Reply to the visitor

Filtering and Search

  • Filter by question/widget
  • Filter by date range
  • Search across all conversations

Notifications

Get notified when new messages arrive:

  • Push notifications on your mobile device
  • In-app notification badges
